My Deck Composite Pty Ltd – Limited Warranty Statement
1. About this Warranty
My Deck Composite Pty Ltd ACN 677 850 412 ("My Deck Composite") products are manufactured from cellulose-based and wood-polymer composites or natural fibre composite materials.
This limited warranty statement sets out important information for the original purchaser of My Deck Composite Pty Ltd products. The initial purchaser should carefully consider this warranty statement before purchasing, using, or installing any My Deck Composite Pty Ltd products.
2. What Product is Covered by this Warranty?
This warranty applies to the following My Deck Composite Pty Ltd product for residential use only:
- Composite Decking Board – 140x23mm Light wood grain – Colour: Sunshine Sands SKU: MDCDBSS
- Composite Decking Board – 140x23mm Light wood grain – Colour: Hinterland Mist SKU: MDCDBHM

3. Who is Covered by the Warranty?
- (a) "Original Purchaser" refers to an individual who purchases and installs the Product in a single-family residence. The Product must only be exposed to the level of traffic expected in a residential dwelling comprising no more than one family.
- (b) This warranty is not applicable to commercial applications, including but not limited to multi-residential, hospitality, retail, or public spaces.
- (c) The limited warranty may be transferred from the Original Purchaser to a second residential purchaser within five (5) years from the date of purchase, provided that the property remains a single-family residence.
4. Warranty Period
The Warranty Period for My Deck Composite Product begins on the date of original purchase. Coverage terms are as follows:

5. What is Covered by this Warranty?
To benefit from this limited warranty, the Product must be correctly stored, handled, used, and maintained as per My Deck Composite’s use and maintenance instructions (“My Deck Installation & Care Guides”).
Physical Integrity
My Deck Composite warrants that the Product will be free from material defects in workmanship and materials and will not split, splinter, rot, or suffer structural damage from termites or fungal decay under the following conditions:
- Under normal and proper service conditions, as described on My Deck Installation Guide,
- When installed according to the My Deck Installation Guidelines,
- When used and maintained in an above-ground application.
Fade Resistance
My Deck Composite Product is designed to resist colour fading from light and weather exposure. We guarantee that the colour change will not exceed 5 Delta E (CIE) units from the original purchase date throughout the Warranty Period.
Stain Resistance
My Deck Composite Product is resistant to permanent staining from common food and beverage spills, and naturally occurring mould and mildew, provided that these substances are cleaned within three (3) days of exposure in accordance with My Deck Care Guide.
Oil/grease/food and well-known staining items, like red wine, must be removed from the surface immediately to maintain the 25-year Limited Stain Warranty.
6. Exclusions and Limitations
This limited warranty does not cover:
- (a) any defect in the Products arising from any drawing, design or specification supplied;
- (b) incorrect installation or failure to comply with My Deck’s Installation Guide and instructions including cutting, gapping and sealing, including the ends of the Products after cutting;
- (c) direct or indirect damage from heat sources over 135°C;
- (d) surface damage caused from impact of sharp objects including but not limited to metal shovels, sharp-edged tools etc;
- (e) surface damage caused by paints, solvents etc or other coatings applied to the Product;
- (f) dragging or movement of furniture, equipment or other items over the deck;
- (g) use of the Product beyond normal conditions or applications not recommended by My Deck and the National Construction Code and relevant building standards;
- (h) damages caused by movement, distortion, collapse or settling of the ground and/or the supporting structure in which the Product has been installed;
- (i) Acts of God;
- (j) damage caused by environmental conditions (e.g. inadequate ventilation, air pollution, mould, mildew etc);
- (k) damage caused by improper handling, transportation, storage and use of the Products;
- (l) damage or decay caused by fasteners;
- (m) ordinary wear and tear;
- (n) abnormal use;
- (o) defect in the Product;
- (p) neglect of the Product as outlined in our Care Guide;
- (q) misuse, repair or alteration works to the Products without My Deck’s approval;
- (r) slight variations or changes in the colour of the Product;
- (s) common food and beverage stains not cleaned within three (3) days of exposure;
- (t) stain derived from oil/grease/food and well-known staining items, such as, but not limited to red wine, that were not immediately removed/cleaned; and
- (u) any damage caused by chemical products.
7. Registering your Warranty
To register your product Warranty, follow the instructions at:

The Warranty registration must be done within 90 days of the purchase date in the invoice. After this period no Warranty Registration will be accepted.
8. Making a Claim
To make a warranty claim, submit our Warranty Claim Questionnaire in writing to info@mydeck.com.au, indicating your Warranty Registration Code.

For a Stain Claim:
- The purchaser must attempt to clean the affected area in accordance to My Deck Composite Care Guide using the recommended cleaning procedures. If the issue persists, the affected area must be professionally cleaned at the purchaser’s expense.
- If the issue remains unresolved, submit a claim to My Deck Composite within thirty (30) days after professional cleaning, including proof of purchase, installation date, a description, and photographs of the affected area.
All other Claims:
- Must be made within thirty (30) days from the date of discovering the defect and within the warranty period.
- Must provide My Deck Composite with the requested information to assess the claim, including proof of purchase, warranty registration code, photographs of the defect, and a description of the defect.
- My Deck Composite may inspect the Product on-site and/or request a sample of the defective product for further analysis.
9. Warranty Resolution
Upon verifying a valid warranty claim, My Deck Composite will either replace the defective Product or refund the purchase price, prorated according to the following schedule:
- 0–10 years: 100%
- 11–13 years: 80%
- 14–16 years: 60%
- 17–19 years: 40%
- 20–22 years: 20%
- 23–25 years: 10%
Disclaimer
My Deck Composite makes no other warranties, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. My Deck Composite’s sole obligation under this Warranty is limited to replacement or refund as described above.
10. Limited Liability
To the extent permitted by law, this warranty is exclusive and replaces all other warranties, conditions, representations, and guarantees, whether express or implied, whether by statute, at law, or in equity.
